Workday Extend Developer

Role: Workday Extend Developer Location : Plano, TX/ McLean VA. Contract/ C2H Job Description We are seeking a Workday Extend Developer to join our HR Technology Team. In this role, you will design, build, and enhance custom functionality within the Workday platform, with a particular focus on Workday Extend, Workday Integrations, and Compensation. You'll collaborate closely with HR partners, product owners, and engineers in an Agile environment to deliver scalable, innovative solutions that enhance the associate experience and streamline HR processes. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement custom applications using Workday Extend, with an emphasis on Compensation and integrations. Build, maintain, and optimize Workday integrations (including Core Connectors, EIBs, and Studio if applicable) to support enterprise-wide HR processes. Configure, optimize, and support existing Workday modules to align with HR and business objectives. Partner with HR, Technology, and Product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives. Ensure code quality and performance through testing, validation, and peer review. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to Workday Extend applications and integrations. Basic Qualifications Hands-on experience with Workday Extend development, including Compensation module configuration. Strong understanding of Workday integrations-such as EIBs, Core Connectors, calculated fields, and related integration frameworks. Solid understanding of Workday business processes and security. Proven software development experience (object-oriented programming, APIs, or related technologies). Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Workday Studio, Core Connectors, or similar tools. Background working in a large enterprise or financial services environment. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work setting.
