Generalist Medical Technologist | Contract RoleJob Details: Location: Newburyport, MA, 01950 Duration: 13-week contract Weekly Pay Rate: $2200-$2320 Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: Day Shift (8)-8:00 start Key Responsibilities: Perform laboratory testing across blood bank, chemistry, and hematology departments Follow established procedures for specimen handling, processing, testing, and reporting Ensure quality control and instrument calibration Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments as required Accurately document and report test results Participate in proficiency testing and continuous quality improvement initiatives Rotate on-call, weekends, and holidays according to departmental needs Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance guidelines Qualifications: Completion of an MT or MLT program (Associate's degree or higher required). MT, MLT, or BS in Medical Technology or related field. ASCP certification. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required. Competency in blood bank, chemistry, and hematology testing.
