Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 03/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech Job Details: Work 36-40 hours per week with overtime billable after 40 hours On-call schedule includes one weekday every week and one weekend every 6th weekend Required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Work with inpatient and emergency department patient populations Wear charcoal grey scrubs Use EPIC electronic medical records system Operate GE Logic E10 ultrasound equipment Perform general ultrasound exams including abdominal, pelvis, small parts, and joint effusion Conduct pediatric examinations including heads, spine, pyloric stenosis, and intussusception Minimum 24 months of general ultrasound/sonographer experience required ARDMS certification with AB advanced education including BR advanced discipline required BLS certification required Breast imaging experience highly preferred First-time travelers welcome Orientation dates available: 3/16, 3/23, 3/30 Facility: This comprehensive healthcare system operates multiple campuses providing advanced medical services to the community.
