Our team is built on the dedication of talented individuals who strive to provide outstanding services and solutions, recognized for effectively tackling unique IT infrastructure challenges. Having received the prestigious NorthFace Service Award for ten consecutive years speaks volumes about our commitment to quality. By joining us, you'll become a member of a globally recognized organization that prioritizes continuous growth and innovation. This is a remote position that allows significant flexibility; however, travel (10-30%) may be needed for client meetings, project implementations, and other business engagements, enabling you to efficiently manage your work while collaborating with clients and team members across the globe. Your Role Design scalable, secure, and resilient Kubernetes infrastructure solutions aligned with customer needs across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. Guide customers through technical assessments, architectural reviews, and solution designs, ensuring seamless integration with existing setups. Support pre-sales activities by evaluating customer requirements, defining technical approaches, and estimating efforts for proposed solutions. Lead the deployment and lifecycle management of Kubernetes clusters, focusing on workload placement, storage integration, and network configurations. Implement GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies to automate provisioning and cluster management using tools like Terraform and Ansible. Create thorough documentation, operational runbooks, and reference architectures to empower customers and ensure long-term maintainability. Improve practice development by creating reusable delivery kits, templates, and internal training materials. Stay abreast of cloud-native technologies and recommend enhancements for greater efficiency, security, and scalability. Collaborate with diverse teams, including Professional Services, Practice Development, Product Management, and Engineering, to deliver impactful solutions and promote innovation. What You Will Bring At least 10 years of experience in consulting, DevOps, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering. A strong ability to convert business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions. Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, including design, deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting in production settings. Experience architecting comprehensive container-based solutions emphasizing high availability, resilience, and security. Proficiency with hybrid and multi-cloud Kubernetes deployments (e.g., on-premises, AWS, Azure, GCP). Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) accreditation is required. Strong automation skills with PowerShell, Bash, and Python. Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools and workflows, especially within Kubernetes environments (GitOps, Argo, Flux). Practical experience with IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible. Good understanding of networking, firewalls, service meshes, ingress controllers, and container security best practices. Proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems. Experience with Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKE/NKP) or similar distributions (OpenShift, Rancher) is a plus. Architectural design expertise, preferably with certifications like TOGAF, VCDX, CCIE, or NPX. Solid understanding of Nutanix or vSphere infrastructure, along with familiarity with NFS and Object Storage. Exceptional problem-solving abilities. U.S. citizenship is required. Work Arrangement This is primarily a remote role with no specific office requirement. However, occasional travel may be necessary for particular business purposes. The expected salary range for this role at the start of employment is USD $160,000 to USD $240,000 annually. Actual base pay may vary based on factors such as market location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Compensation may also include sign-on bonuses, stock units, discretionary awards, and comprehensive benefits (including eligibility for 401(k) and various paid time off). Specific details will be provided upon a job offer. If selected, you will be in an at-will position, meaning the company can adjust compensation based on performance and market conditions. Applications will be accepted for 40 days from the posting date, but may remain open longer in good faith. Nutanix is an equal-opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We assess applicants solely based on qualifications for the role. We strive to foster an inclusive work environment where all team members can thrive and deliver exceptional work.
