Description - What You'll Do Conduct a variety of routine and complex clinical laboratory tests-covering areas such as chemistry, hematology, and immunology-all adhering to established guidelines. Evaluate test results for accuracy, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and ensure laboratory instruments receive regular maintenance and calibration. Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for testing procedures when necessary. Document procedures meticulously, mentor new staff or students, and help maintain high-quality laboratory standards. Ensure a safe and clean workspace while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation standards. Education A bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree, coupled with ASCP/AMT certification preparation. Certifications ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within the first year of employment. Ongoing maintenance of your certification throughout your tenure. Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with fellow healthcare professionals.
