We are currently hiring Entry-Level Assemblers to support our production operations. Work on our fast-paced assembly line rotating between positions like assembly, piping, electrical, finishing, testing, and wrapping. The EHS Specialist II supports the development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety programs across AAON's operations. This mid-level role involves conducting audits, delivering training, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The specialist works independently on routine EHS matters and collaborates with cross-functional teams to promote a proactive safety culture. The EHS Specialist II plays a key role in maintaining compliance and improving workplace safety. This position requires a solid understanding of EHS regulations and the ability to apply them in a manufacturing environment. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Conduct regular safety and environmental audits to identify risks and ensure compliance. Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and supervisors. Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. Maintain and update EHS documentation, including permits, reports, and training records. Monitor hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with regulations. Support sustainability initiatives and environmental reporting. Assist in the development of emergency response plans and lead drills. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to integrate safety into daily processes. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field; 3+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety compliance, auditing, or program administration, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Working knowledge of environmental regulations and occupational safety standards. Ability to interpret technical documents and reference federal regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with standard office productivity software. Ability to develop clear policies, reports, and training materials. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to recommend practical solutions. Ability to diplomatically communicate constructive feedback. Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to time-sensitive issues. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to present information to small- to medium-sized groups. Essential Mental and Physical Functions Ability to sit for extended periods while performing administrative tasks. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop during inspections and audits. Ability to walk up to three miles throughout manufacturing and warehouse facilities. Ability to climb ladders or stairs as required. Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required. Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in active industrial environments. Work Environment Work performed primarily on-site at manufacturing and warehouse facilities. Regular exposure to industrial conditions, including noise, moving mechanical parts, elevated locations, and environmental conditions typical of manufacturing operations. Use of personal protective equipment as required. Compliance with all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
