Position Type: Student Support Services/Speech and Language Pathologist Date Posted: 4/29/2025 Location: Yorkville Middle School Date Available: 08/11/2025 Closing Date: Until Filled District: Yorkville Community School District 115 BRIEF DESCRIPTION / POSITION SUMMARY: Yorkville Community Unit School District 115 is seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to cover an FMLA at Yorkville Middle School during the 2025-2026 school year. This is a long term substitute position offering the opportunity to work with middle school aged students in a supportive, collaborative, and student-centered environment. This is a 0.5 FTE regular position and a 0.5 FMLA position. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services, supporting students with identified needs as well as contributing to broader communication development initiatives across both school populations. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct and consultative speech and language services to students in accordance with IEP goals. Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education programs (IEPs), and participate in eligibility and review meetings. Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to integrate speech and language strategies into the classroom environment. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations. Support communication development in the general education population, when needed. Participate in ongoing professional development and district initiatives. Qualifications / Skills: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Speech Language Pathology. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team. Experience in a school-based setting is preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply, though this is not a requirement. Current Long Term Sub Rate: $210/day
