The Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse 3 to aid nursing staff in providing high-quality care to our honored veterans. Serve those who served.Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state plus two years of experience as a licensed practical nurse. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Prepare and administer medications and treatments as ordered. Observe residents for changes in physical, mental and/or behavior status and report significant changes to the Supervisor and Physician. Transcribe physicians' orders, carry out physicians' orders, document in residents' medical records, obtain specimens for laboratory testing, and provide residents assistance with activities of daily living as needed.
