Job DescriptionWhat we are looking for: Metro's Speech Department continues to grow and we are looking for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in Nassau County. The position will be split across 2-3 outpatient clinics in Nassau County. You will get a wide variety of experience with mentorship in place. Caseload demographics include: Aphasia, Dysphagia, Pediatrics, TBI, Voice, Cognitive Communication Disorders, AAC use, etc.Metro is looking for a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking Speech Therapist who excels at assessing patients’ strengths and weaknesses and devising creative but effective treatment plans. We’re looking for flexible and all-in teammates who are excited by the opportunity to take on emerging challenges. Qualifications: QualificationsQualifications:- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York.- Evaluates a patient's need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.- Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.- Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP-Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications (live course)Additional InformationWhat We Offer!
