Job Description The optometric technician plays a vital role in maintaining efficient patient flow and assisting the optometrist by conducting essential pre-screenings and tests prior to the Doctor's examination. No prior optical experience is necessary, as training will be provided! What You'll Do - The Details Ensure high-quality patient care. Maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere in the doctor's office and pre-test room. Learn and understand ocular terminology and diseases. Explain preliminary examinations to patients clearly. Complete required paperwork and perform necessary testing on patients. Encourage eligible patients to participate in visual field testing and retinal screenings. Conduct exam pre-screenings. Carefully review prescriptions and patient information, addressing special needs and consulting with the optician, Doctor, or Retail Management as needed. Maintain and ensure proper functioning of both Doctor's and pre-test equipment. Qualifications Are You the Right Fit?
