JOB SUMMARY This position plays a crucial role in assisting the management team to oversee daily restaurant operations, focusing on teaching, training, and guiding Team Members to deliver outstanding guest experiences. A professional image and demeanor are essential. Responsibilities include coaching, counseling, and developing Team Members to enhance sales and profitability while managing expenses, addressing guest complaints, and upholding safety, sanitation, and food quality standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Ensure every guest receives excellent service by exemplifying CHARM and CARE. - Collaborate with management in recruiting, training, developing, and maintaining consistent communication with Team Members. - Adhere to company policies, procedures, state and federal wage regulations, and restaurant documentation responsibilities. - Ensure all equipment is well-maintained. - Manage essential processes such as line checks, food preparation, and food safety compliance. - Verify food is prepared according to specifications regarding portion sizes, preparation methods, and presentation. - Assist management with new initiatives, including product launches and menu updates. - Undertake additional tasks as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the General Manager, the Shift Supervisor supervises 15 to 25 Team Members. QUALIFICATIONS - Must be at least 21 years of age. - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. - Internal Candidates: High-performing Team Members certified in all hourly positions with advancement potential. - External Candidates: At least six months of experience as a shift leader or in management. - Basic computer skills are required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position necessitates regular attendance, the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, and frequently requires hearing, speaking, walking, climbing, standing, reaching, bending, balancing, kneeling, stooping, lifting, and carrying items up to 50 lbs. Ability to endure temperature fluctuations and frequent immersion of hands in water and sanitizing solutions is essential. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus accordingly.
