Responsibilities: Perform routine quality inspections on products to ensure compliance with company specifications and applicable regulatory standards. Maintain, verify, and calibrate testing equipment while accurately collecting and recording test data to support effective quality control. Monitor product quality and integrity throughout the production process without interrupting or slowing operations. Coordinate and participate in cross-training activities to ensure shift personnel are qualified to operate across multiple production areas. Prepare, document, and maintain inspection records and quality reports in accordance with established company procedures. Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to confirm adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards. Ensure all testing and inspection equipment is properly calculated and functions correctly. Collaborate with team members to review test results and compile quality documentation and reports. Identify trends in testing and inspection data and recommend improvements to strengthen quality control processes. Conduct quality testing in a manner that supports continuous and efficient production flow. Accurately complete all required shift documentation within established timeframes. Perform internal facility audits to verify compliance with quality, safety, and food safety standards. Enforce company policies, safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP/FSMA regulations, and current SQF code requirements. Maintain and promote clean, sanitary production conditions in accordance with GMP standards. Assist with preparation and support activities for SQF audits. Inspect incoming materials, equipment, and finished products to identify, document, and address defects, malfunctions, or discrepancies. Recommend and support continuous improvement initiatives within assigned areas of responsibility. Participate in safety training, lean initiatives, process improvement efforts, and committee assignments as needed. Take ownership of assigned duties and perform additional responsibilities as directed by the FSQA Manager in a timely and professional manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. At least two years of experience as a Quality Control Technician in a food manufacturing environment. Prior experience working with USDA and FDA regulated facilities required. Familiarity with SQF audit standards preferred. Food Service Certificate required. HACCP certification required. Bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish required. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
