Are you with us?!? The Production Manager, Utilities has overall responsibility for the Water Treatment Plant, Effluent Treatment Plant, and Landfill. Additional key responsibilities include managing department safety, cost effectiveness of operations & maintenance, improving equipment reliability, improving processes and managing team efforts among the Utilities Department and other departments. Responsibilities Ensure safe and reliable operation and maintenance of all equipment and processes in area of responsibility. Maintain 100% environmental compliance by ensuring: All operators are properly trained. All equipment is properly maintained. All tests are being done correctly. Chemicals are ordered on time. Manage an operating budget to achieve identified goals and objectives. Oversight of capital projects for Water Treatment Plant, Effluent Treatment Plant, and Landfill. Ensure operations in area of responsibility are aligned with all other operating areas. Optimize operations, identify opportunities to reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency of operations. Ensure department personnel complete required drills for managing upset conditions or emergency situations. Requirements Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical) or a commensurate amount of practical experience Minimum of 4 years of experience in a utilities (ETP/WTP/Landfill experience preferred) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Solid understanding of preventive maintenance methodology Ability to work a rotating on-call schedule Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma training preferred Possess or have the capability to acquire WDNR Solid Waste Facility Manager license and WDNR Wastewater Operator license Ahlstrom is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
