Join our dynamic team as a Lumberyard Associate, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring our warehouse operates smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for various tasks that include receiving, filling, shipping, and inspecting orders to meet our high standards of accuracy and timeliness. As a key member of our team, you will be driving powered industrial trucks such as forklifts, to handle materials safely and efficiently. Your ability to load, unload, and convey materials will greatly contribute to our operations and customer satisfaction. Duties and Responsibilities Maintain required certifications such as C.D.L. and forklift operation. Efficiently position and transport materials using lifting devices. Open containers and perform count and weigh tasks as necessary. Load and unload materials while ensuring safe handling practices. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance to ensure safety and reliability. Strictly adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations. Prepare and ship materials while conducting quality inspections. Interact professionally with customers and collect necessary documentation. Complete inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed. Process returned merchandise and ensure cleanliness in operational areas. Perform necessary administrative tasks and maintain accurate records. Assist in weighing materials and maintaining organized workspaces. Support team members by providing materials as required. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management. Qualifications Completion of a one-year certificate from a college or technical school; or equivalent work experience in related fields. Forklift Operator Certification is required. Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not mandatory. Understanding of safety protocols for equipment usage is essential. A strong team player with excellent communication skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
