Requisition ID: 43577BR Business Unit: NAU Join Our Team at CDM Smith! CDM Smith is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Lead Project Manager to play a pivotal role in our South Group. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to lead key projects and nurture client relationships in a rapidly expanding market. As the main contact for municipal clients, particularly across Tennessee, you will collaborate with CDM Smith leadership to identify, develop, and implement innovative project solutions. Your responsibilities will include: Managing all aspects of water and wastewater design, permitting, and construction to ensure exceptional quality and timely project completion. Leading, mentoring, and motivating project teams while effectively managing project assignments. Working closely with technical experts and project members to provide comprehensive and seamless client service. Contributing to the creation of design drawings and specifications for complex engineering projects. Overseeing project budgets and timelines, utilizing advanced project management tools for risk assessment. Engaging actively in the water and wastewater community through participation in industry conferences and committees. Supporting business development through strategic marketing initiatives and outreach efforts. Collaborating with the sales team to effectively respond to client requests for qualifications (RFQs). Maintaining open lines of communication with clients and government officials, while keeping upper management updated on project progress. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. 10 years of relevant experience in the field. PMP (PMI), CCM, or DBIA certification required (to be obtained within 12 months of hire or promotion). Willingness to travel as required based on project needs. Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering. Professional engineering (PE) license. Experience managing water and wastewater infrastructure design projects specific to Tennessee. Familiarity with alternative project delivery methods.
