Deliver specialized nursing care in a dynamic medical-surgical and telemetry unit within a 241-bed Level 3 Trauma teaching hospital setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced Med/Tele RNs seeking a fast-paced environment caring for diverse patient populations with cardiac, respiratory, and neurological diagnoses. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care including cardiac rhythm interpretation and management of non-titrating cardiac drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone. Attend to patients with tubes, drains, wounds, and blood product administration. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including CNAs, phlebotomy, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and intensivists to deliver high-quality care. Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and care coordination (minimum of 6 months EPIC experience required). Adhere to safety standards and assist in telemetry monitoring with support from dedicated tele techs. Flexibly float within the designated region and facilities as required. Qualifications and Experience: Active RN licensure with current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Minimum of 18 months Med/Tele nursing experience. Proficient in IV starts, wound care, and use of hospital technology such as Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing. Comfortable with patient ratios of 1:5-6 (may increase during surge) and working weekends, holiday rotations, and potential low census call. Schedule Highlights: Shifts: day) and 1845-0715 (night). Weekend rotation every other week. Holiday shift commitment at 75%. Paid travel time if floating mid-shift between facilities.
