Job Summary The OSP Project Manager oversees the planning, development, and execution of outside plant projects with a focus on hyper-scale data center environments. This role requires strong leadership, customer engagement, operational oversight, and project management expertise. Responsibilities include establishing project schedules, ensuring adherence to cost and quality targets, maintaining safety compliance, coordinating workforce planning, and supporting field personnel throughout all phases of construction. The OSP Project Manager is expected to provide technical guidance, maintain positive client relationships, and ensure high standards of performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Job Responsibilities Establish and manage the overall project schedule, ensuring targets are met for cost, quality, functionality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Coordinate workforce planning, resource allocation, and field operations across multiple project sites. Provide technical expertise during pre-construction activities, including constructability reviews and schedule development. Support pre-bid efforts by offering input on scope, scheduling, and resource forecasting when required. Oversee field Client assignments and ensure compliance with applicable contracts and workforce policies. Review and ensure timely submission of daily timecards and workforce documentation. Hold team members accountable for the proper use and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment. Collaborate with project management on scheduling, budget tracking, material staging, and work sequencing. Conduct regular site visits based on project location and travel requirements. Maintain a thorough understanding of the full project scope, specifications, and drawing packages. Communicate changes in work orders or project requirements to relevant stakeholders. Ensure jobsite safety compliance and promote a culture of zero-injury performance across all projects. Lead and support safety meetings, hazard identification, and incident reporting processes. Review plans and specifications for constructability, schedule impacts, and potential deficiencies. Assist in quantity takeoffs, cost considerations, and estimating when requested. Mentor, train, and support the development of field personnel. Oversee post-project activities including testing, documentation, and as-built updates. Prepare and manage project documentation in alignment with internal standards and career progression requirements. Contribute to schedule development for proposed projects, including sequencing and duration forecasting. Forecast Client needs for current and upcoming work. Maintain positive client relationships and represent the project team professionally. Identify potential project opportunities and support business development efforts when applicable. Partner with training or learning management teams to support program development and implementation. Job Requirements Prior experience supporting OSP projects within hyper-scale data center environments (required). 10 or more years of related experience in OSP construction, project management, or similar roles. OSHA 30 certification. Valid driver's license meeting motor vehicle record requirements. Ability to meet all site access and badging requirements. Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to interpret building plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation. Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills. Ability to organize, plan, and manage multi-site project teams. Strong client management and relationship-building skills. Ability to make logical decisions and perform effectively under pressure. Willingness to travel extensively based on project needs. Strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence. Self-starter with the ability to set goals, lead teams, and maintain accountability. Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
