Job Summary In your role as a school behavior technician, you will be an essential support to teachers and school administrators by working with students facing behavioral challenges. You may work one-on-one with a student in a mainstream classroom or provide support to multiple students in a specialized classroom that caters to their specific educational needs. Working with students from grades K-12, you will encounter a variety of behavior challenges ranging from mild to severe. The level of support will be tailored to each student's individual education plan (IEP) or 504 plan. Your primary duties will include helping students learn to manage their behavior, which will enhance their learning experience while preserving a positive environment for their peers and educators. You will encourage positive behavior and set appropriate boundaries, guiding students toward their behavioral and academic goals. Additionally, you will collaborate with teachers and administrators to observe and report on the progress towards the objectives outlined in their IEP/504 plans. We seek a flexible Behavior Technician who excels in collaborating with a diverse array of students, educators, and administrators.
