What you will be doing: Develop and maintain existing client and regulatory relationships. Identify and pursue new business development opportunities through networking, client engagement, and market research. Assist in shaping company strategies and operational improvements to support growth. Prepare proposals, bids, and presentations to secure new projects. Manage multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Perform engineering work including design, analysis, and technical problem solving. Lead and coordinate project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and consultants. Monitor project performance, budgets, and deliverables. Mentor staff and provide appropriate training opportunities for development and advancement. Experience you will need: B.S. and/or M.S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering with progressive levels of responsibility. Experience/expertise in the areas of water resources engineering, geotechnical engineering, site development, and/or solid waste. Experience in both project management and business development within the civil engineering industry. Proficiency in civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, etc.) Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills. Ability to wear multiple hats and thrive in a dynamic, small-business environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
