Highly skilled Registered Nurse with Med/Surg and Telemetry expertise are essential for a fast-paced, busy healthcare environment in Perry, GA. Primary Responsibilities: Provide exceptional nursing care to Med/Surg and Telemetry patients. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage post-cath care including TR bands and groin sites. Administer and titrate drips such as insulin, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone, milrinone, Digoxin, and nicardipine (HR titration only). Manage tracheostomy care, chest tubes, PIV starts, and IV maintenance. Conduct patient assessments, discharge planning, care coordination, and patient education. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care. Float across multiple Med/Tele units as needed within the hospital. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Active RN license. Minimum 2 years Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome. BLS required; ACLS preferred. Ability to pass EKG competency exam during onboarding. Skills with glucommander, telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and post-surgical patient care. Strong time management, assessment skills, and teamwork orientation. Med/Surg certification is a plus. Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM or 7 PM - 7 AM). Weekend rotation: 5-6 shifts per 12-day schedule. One major holiday shift per cycle. No call required. Additional Details: Free parking available on campus. RNs wear navy scrubs. Orientation includes 1 day of facility introduction plus educational modules and 2 additional departmental days. Support provided by CNA, unit secretary, charge nurse, and specialized teams.
