Material Handler - B

Material Handler The Material Handler is part of a production line crew and is responsible for numerous tasks including cleaning metal, packaging material, identifying material, assisting in minor maintenance, and set ups. This position requires forklift and overhead crane operation and the use of job specific tools. Responsibilities: Operate material handling equipment. Operate packaging tools (machine and hand). Using RF devices for accurate material tracking. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Role Requirements: Previous warehouse and forklift/side loader experience. High school education or GED desired. Good mathematical competencies. Attention to accuracy and detail. Ability to work in fast paced, deadline driven environment. Able to read a tape measure to the sixteenth. Experience with micrometers and calipers. Able to follow verbal and written instructions. Equipment Knowledge: Experience using computers. Experience with cutting and banding equipment is a plus. Forklifts Physical Demands: Ability to spend 80% of the day standing. Ability to lift 50 lbs (22.7kg) maximum occasionally with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs (11.3kg).
