Pulmonology - Critical Care Physician

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pulmonary & Critical Care physicia n to join our growing team at Columbia County Hospital in the Augusta, Georgia region. This is a full-time opportunity offering a balanced inpatient and outpatient practice model within a rapidly expanding health system. Practice Model Physicians will provide: • Critical Care coverage in the ICU • Inpatient pulmonary consultative services • Outpatient pulmonary clinic care 4-Week Block Schedule: • 1 week (7 days) ICU • 1 week off • 2 weeks pulmonary (inpatient consults and outpatient clinic) This structured schedule supports work-life balance while maintaining continuity of care and team collaboration. Facility Growth & Expansion Opening 2026 When Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center opens in 2026, the new full-service acute care hospital will feature: • 100 inpatient beds • Emergency Department anticipated to become a Level II Trauma Center • Comprehensive surgical platform including: Operating Rooms Catheterization Laboratories Interventional Radiology Endoscopy Suites• Adjacent 90,000-square-foot Medical Office Building offering: Primary Care Women s Health Specialty Services This expansion represents a significant investment in the Columbia County community and provides physicians the opportunity to help shape and grow a new regional medical center.
