Job Overview The Logistics Coordinator works to support the overall Logistics Department. This individual should be highly organized and possess stellar written and verbal communication skills. Must have a high regard for customer satisfaction, be a team player, and can think quickly on their feet. This is an office-based logistics coordination role (not a warehouse or driving position) Primary Responsibilities Schedule, track, and monitor shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery Coordinate directly with carriers, freight providers, and third-party logistics partners Proactively address shipment delays, service disruptions, or documentation discrepancies Maintain visibility of transportation costs, timelines, and service performance Serve as the primary point of contact for shipment status updates and logistics inquiries Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams Provide accurate and timely shipping quotes to Sales and Operations teams Develop and maintain an understanding of customer-specific requirements, pricing, and service expectations Prepare, review, and maintain transportation documentation including bills of lading and applicable compliance paperwork Ensure adherence to DOT regulations and company compliance standards Maintain accurate shipment records within ERP and carrier portals Identify opportunities to improve route efficiency and transportation productivity Support equipment tracking and maintenance coordination Recommend process improvements to enhance logistics performance and customer satisfaction Able to manage multiple shipments and stakeholders simultaneously Requirements Desired Qualifications 2+ years of experience in logistics coordination, transportation planning, or supply chain operations Must be resourceful, organized, and able to provide exceptional customer service Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and SAP Experience within shipper portals - FedEx, UPS, etc Must possess positive, effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills Must possess emotional intelligence with outstanding interpersonal skills Familiarity with DOT compliance and best practices Compensation Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D insurance available after 30 days 401(k) plan with company match available after 30 days Employee Assistance Program 22 PTO + 2 VTO + 9 paid holidays per year Hybrid work schedule (after 90 days of employment) Year-round Flex Fridays, as schedule allows TerraCycle is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion.
