Purchasing Engineer

Our client is in search of a full-time Estimator Engineer. This is a full-time, on-site position located within Milwaukee County. Key duties: Manage Fabrication RFQs Print and prioritize based on compatibility Communicate with customers RE their RFQs Create RFQs to steel suppliers and outsourced services (generally machining) for customer quotes using BOMs, drawings, and/or models Create drawings using 2D AutoCAD and 3D Models Assist in creating estimates by entering material pricing in ERP Purchase steel and outsourced services for winning bids Expedite orders Create drawings using 2D AutoCAD and 3 models for steel purchasing, machining, and fabrication Begin to create routings for new fabrication jobs and put together electronic job folder materials (JB2 is their ERP, will train) Learn to estimate fabrication jobs including setup, welding, machining, etc. All duties as necessary. This is a developing position with plenty of room for advancement Experience/College: Bachelors in engineering (preferably mechanical design) 2+ years with AutoCAD and 2+ years with 3D CAD (Solidworks, Inventor or similar) 1+ yr purchasing of steel components New grads or about to graduate are welcome to apply!
