Deliver skilled nursing care as a Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical expertise in a dynamic acute care setting located in Burlington, NC. This contract opportunity offers a chance to support diverse patient populations, including those with respiratory conditions, diabetes complications, psychiatric observation needs, and surgical cases on a primarily medical-surgical unit. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to observation patients, respiratory cases, palliative and hospice patients, surgical and medical-surgical diagnoses. Manage patient care using EPIC electronic medical records. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Adapt to a float role across multiple healthcare facilities as needed. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including passing a mandatory EKG exam during onboarding. Participate in night shifts on a rotating schedule of 3 twelve-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), including every other weekend and holiday coverage. Qualifications: Current RN licensure with a minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience. Completion of BLS certification. Ability to pass a required EKG competency exam. Flexibility with scheduling and adherence to strict punctuality and attendance standards. Previous experience as a Charge Nurse is preferred but not required.
