Description: SOLDERER We are currently seeking Solderers to join our team. These positions are based at our downtown Bethel, CT facility which employs approximately 100 people. Position Overview: The Solderers are responsible for soldering and reworking very small and intricate products. The ideal candidate will have exceptional hand dexterity along with a working knowledge in reading and interpreting written work instructions, technical procedures and blueprints. The individual must be comfortable working in a team environment. This non-union first shift position (Monday-Friday, 7am to 3:30pm) is well suited for a patient individual who is a fast learner, is focused on quality output, and enjoys working in a demanding atmosphere. Overtime is available once someone is sufficiently trained, In this function you will: • Solder electro-mechanical components under a microscope and/or a magnifying glass (may involve twisting, turning, and other fine manipulation of small components) • Assemble, setup and maintain tooling • Perform visual inspection of parts • Maintain quality records • Interpret customer and supplier requirements Basic Qualifications: • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience required. • Minimum 1 year of soldering experience required. • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. • Must live within 60 miles of the Bethel facility as there is no relocation offered for these roles. Preferred Qualifications: • One year soldering experience using a microscope Position Criteria: • High level of dexterity • Ability to follow written instructions, visual aids, sketches and blueprints • Ability to work using a microscope for long periods of time • Ability to successfully solder to the acceptability requirements of J-STD-001 • All PPE is provided by Eaton, however candidates should know that shoes must be closed on all sides (front, sides, back).
