Deputy Chief of Accounting The Ohio Department of Development is seeking a detail-oriented and forward-thinking accounting leader to serve as our next Deputy Chief of Accounting. What you'll be doing : Oversee federal cash draw operations, including review, approval, reconciliation, and coordination with Reporting and Compliance staff. Review and approve treasury activities such as STAR Ohio investments, wire transfers, custodial account transactions, and bank reconciliations. Monitor daily accounting operations, including voucher processing, PIF submissions, payroll journal status, procurement workflows, and check management. Lead financial reporting, cash projections, fund reconciliations, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives across accounting and cash management functions. Support and advance Salesforce revenue management by transitioning deposit processes and ensuring accurate revenue tracking across systems. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. Experience in governmental accounting, cash management, grant management, or treasury operations. Proficiency with financial management systems such as OAKS, Salesforce, or similar ERP/CRM platforms. Ability to analyze and reconcile complex financial data with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational, communication, and problemsolving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Previous supervisory experience required.
