Job Description

A skilled CT/CT-PET technologist is needed for an important contract opportunity in Prattville, AL, at a large healthcare facility specializing in trauma, neonatal care, and stroke management. This role offers a chance to utilize advanced imaging skills in a Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, supporting both inpatient and outpatient populations, including occasional pediatrics. Schedule/Hours: Night shift, Monday through Thursday 9:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. (four 10-hour shifts) Holiday coverage includes one major and one minor seasonal holiday (rotation varies) Weekend rotation approximately once per month (subject to change) Voluntary on-call available Key Responsibilities: Perform CT imaging procedures, including biopsy drainage, trauma imaging, angiograms, and stroke perfusion studies Operate GE CT equipment efficiently within the main Radiology department and occasionally float to different hospital areas Maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner EMR system Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe, high-quality patient care Provide care for patients with diverse needs, maintaining a typical patient load of 1:1 and about 40 patients per day Desired Experience and Qualifications: Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with ARRT-CT certification required State licensure preferred Current BLS certification mandatory Minimum 2 years of strong CT imaging experience; 1-year travelers with solid skills considered Demonstrated expertise in trauma, angiogram, biopsy drainage, and preferred stroke perfusion imaging Benefits & Perks: Supportive, technology-driven environment using Cerner and advanced GE CT scanners Orientation includes comprehensive hospital and unit-based training Flexible scheduling with no night block off (NBO) restriction on this contract About Prattville, AL: Prattville provides a friendly, small-town atmosphere with close proximity to Montgomery.
