A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at a middle school in Des Plaines, IL, offering a travel assignment with a flexible start date ASAP and an open-end timeline. This role is ideal for SLPs looking to provide specialized support within a dynamic school environment while experiencing the unique challenges and rewards of a travel position. Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders for a caseload of 42-50 middle school students. The position requires delivering individualized therapy plans, collaborating with teachers and parents, and maintaining detailed documentation of student progress. The schedule is full time, 35 hours per week, from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm with a half-hour lunch break. Qualifications and experience desired: Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or CFY status Experience working in school settings, preferably with middle school students Ability to manage a caseload of 40+ students efficiently Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and families Flexibility to travel and adapt to different school environments This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on students' communication abilities in a supportive educational setting.
