Candidate is responsible for all parking cost Job Description: The client's Annenberg Center for Health Journalism partners with newsrooms across America and helps journalists and community storytellers innovate, investigate, and illuminate health challenges in their communities, serving as a catalyst for change. We are seeking a communications specialist for a temporary, project-based role to support and enhance the Center's communications and development. This includes: Design and execution of social media strategy to promote the work of the Center. Develop internal and external communications to convey the accomplishments and impacts of reporting by the journalists participating in our programs. Advance initiatives connected to our end-of year fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record of designing and executing successful audience engagement campaigns for nonprofit or mission-driven media organizations, as well as deep expertise in digital communications, graphics for social media, email marketing, and using performance metrics to guide strategy. A background in nonprofit communications and health journalism is preferred. We'd welcome social media strategy, fundraising, journalism, nonprofit communications, email marketing experience. Finalists will be required to complete a paid 3-4 hour writing exercise as part of their interview process to assess their knowledge of subject matter.
