Job Description

Perform advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures within a dynamic cardiac catheterization lab environment. This role involves assisting physicians in placing catheters into coronary and peripheral vessels to capture X-rays, angiograms, and other vital diagnostic recordings that evaluate vascular structure and function. A structured onboarding fellowship, including clinical rotations and weekly didactic sessions, supports your transition and professional growth in this specialty area. Location Position located in Middletown, Delaware, offering easy access to local amenities and a welcoming community. Responsibilities Assist with patient preparation and ensure procedure rooms are properly set up for safe and efficient care delivery Verify necessary documentation and consents prior to procedures Utilize and operate X-ray equipment independently and accurately Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols throughout procedures Monitor and document all procedures precisely using the MacLab system Support procedure room turnover and infection control between cases Administer intra-coronary medications according to policy Participate in continuing education and maintain required credentials, including seeking RCIS certification when applicable Perform other duties within the scope of practice as assigned Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences or Cardiovascular Technology Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Technologist, Radiography (ARRT) certification required within four months if not currently held Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications Minimum eighteen months' experience in diagnostic radiology or completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology program with recommendations Preferred: At least two years' experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab with exposure to diagnostic, interventional, and electrophysiology procedures This position is full-time, contract-based with variable shifts totaling 72 hours per week.
