Truck Driver - CDL Class A - Los Angeles, CA

Local CDL-A Driver South Mill is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Local CDL-A Driver to handle local freight deliveries and backhauls. This role ensures timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. This is a local driving position with daily routes and consistent dispatch support. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a tractor-trailer on assigned local routes Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections Deliver and pick up freight in a timely and professional manner Back trailers into dock areas and maneuver in tight spaces Maintain communication with dispatch throughout the workday Complete required delivery paperwork and ELD logs accurately Report any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly Maintain compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and company policies Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license Minimum one (1) year of tractor-trailer driving experience Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Valid DOT medical certification Ability to read and communicate in English (DOT requirement) Ability to operate Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while driving Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and climb as needed Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly (more as needed) Ability to safely enter and exit the tractor multiple times per shift Work Environment Exposure to varying weather conditions Warehouse and loading dock environments Professional interaction with customers and team members required Pre-Employment Requirements Employment is contingent upon successful completion of DOT drug and alcohol testing, background screening, MVR review, and all other applicable pre-employment requirements.
