Ideal for RRTs with 2+ years of adult critical care or ED experience. Night shift, Cerner charting, Maryland or Compact license required. Job Details Location: Baltimore, MD 21215 (Baltimore respiratory therapy jobs; Maryland) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,630-$1,750/week Setting: Hospital - Adult and Geriatrics patient population Contract Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist role Start Date: March 30, 2026 End Date: July 6, 2026 Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Coverage: Required Charting System: Cerner (experience with Cerner preferred) Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics - critical care & ED focus Job Requirements Minimum 2 years recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) working in adult critical care and emergency department (ED) settings Valid Maryland license or Compact state license at time of submission (Maryland respiratory therapist license) ACLS and BLS certifications required Experience working in a Trauma Level II facility preferred First-time travel RRTs are welcome References required Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Responsibilities Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients in critical care and emergency department settings Manage mechanical ventilation, perform intubation assistance, extubation, tracheostomy care, and bronchoscopy support Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and implement appropriate respiratory interventions Administer respiratory medications and therapies including aerosol treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including rapid response teams and other respiratory services Accurately document respiratory assessments and interventions using Cerner Float within the facility as needed, within scope of practice Complete virtual orientation modules on the first day of the contract This travel respiratory therapist opportunity in Baltimore is a great fit for RRTs seeking hospital-based critical care experience with night shift availability.
