Senior Civil Engineer

Job Description: Responsibilities: This role will support civil engineering designs for the GBSD program project by preparing studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, data sheets, and evaluations, in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements. Work with other civil engineers and technical disciplines in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in executing design development and producing design documents for government customers in accordance with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide, including drawings, UFGS specifications, and calculations. Development of grading and backfill design and drawings. Road design and design documents. Foundation design and drawings. ssist with boring oversight, site inspection, and review of existing facilities. Perform formal calculations and drawings. Review vendor information from subcontractors and integrate it into the design solution. Execute schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in the work product. Coordinate closely with other technical disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience. 9-12 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge and Skills: Minimum Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Office programs, VISIO, and other common computer programs. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). bility to utilize office automation tools effectively. Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards, as well as client Corporate guides and standards. Relevant experience includes related specifications. Broad knowledge of the application of Civil engineering design principles. Preferred Qualifications: MS degree in Civil or related Engineering from an accredited university. Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ISO-9000. Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense. Experience with use or knowledge of Revit and/or InRoads. Intermediate knowledge of developing CSI Masterformat specifications, or SpecsIntact. Design experience with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide. Experience in complex excavation approaches and construction execution, field experience is preferred.
