Principal, Strategy and Value Advisory Services Job Overview Join our innovative Thought Leadership & Advisory Services team at Cornerstone as a Principal. In this key role, you will partner strategically to drive significant impact for our clients, collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing, as well as engaging directly with clients. Identify and leverage business opportunities with key prospects and clients by working closely with sales teams to develop effective strategies. Synthesize and apply your HCM domain knowledge to craft cohesive business strategies that align with client goals and drive results. Create tailored business and talent strategies, including quantitative analyses (ROI, TCO, Benchmarking) that are customized to meet the individual needs of clients. Guide clients throughout the Value Engagement lifecycle, from the discovery phase to delivering validated actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities Offer advisory support to sales and customer success teams about our service offerings and effective positioning. Delve into clients' business and talent strategies to effectively demonstrate Cornerstone's value proposition. Assess opportunities for delivering quantitative impact while providing insights to sales on potential outcomes. Adapt methodologies based on client specifications and create comprehensive financial models. Articulate the value and business impact in a compelling narrative that resonates with clients effectively. Analyze market trends and contribute to strategic and tactical planning within client engagements. Gather and share competitive intelligence from the field to refine our strategic approaches. Build and nurture strong relationships with HR executives and HCM leaders to advocate for our services. Collaborate with the TLAS team to develop engaging webinars, impactful client presentations, and informative publications. Craft and deliver customized service proposals for implementation and talent strategy offerings. Manage multiple strategic engagements with professionalism and a positive attitude. Embrace continuous learning and innovation to enhance client satisfaction and service delivery. Maintain enthusiasm and motivation while contributing fresh ideas proactively. Qualifications B.A. / B.S. required; advanced degree (MS, MA, PhD, MBA) preferred. Demonstrated ability to translate Cornerstone's platform into measurable business outcomes. Experience leading strategy sessions and engagements with Cornerstone clients. Consultative background in executive-level strategy development (minimum 7 years). Expertise in HCM and organizational development (minimum 7 years). Familiarity with Cloud Computing and Software-as-a-Service delivery models (minimum 7 years). Experience with large-scale HCM software implementations. Expertise in quantitative and financial modeling that links business impact to client strategies (minimum 5 years). Preferred understanding of sales strategy and deal processes. Exceptional client presentation and communication skills adaptable to varied audiences. Professional demeanor with the capacity to present to corporate executives. Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills. Excellent writing, presentation development, and analytical abilities are essential. Capacity to contextualize and communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively. Outstanding service orientation with interpersonal skills fostering collaboration. Willingness to travel approximately 25-40% of the time.
