Summary Description: The Maintenance Technician (Level 1) is an entry-level role designed for someone eager to learn and grow while supporting the smooth operation of our facility. This position focuses on performing basic maintenance tasks and gaining hands-on technical experience through on-the-job training alongside experienced technicians.In this role, you'll assist with preventative maintenance, general facility upkeep, and provide support to higher-level technicians as you build your skills. The Level 1 Technician will also help with light janitorial duties, including the safe collection and disposal of materials such as wood grain filler, wood finishes, and adhesives, always following company safety and environmental guidelines.Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Perform basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning, vacuuming, lubrication, filter changes, inspections, and minor repairs under supervision.Assist other technicians (Levels 2–4) with troubleshooting and repair of equipment.Support preventative maintenance programs by completing assigned routine tasks.Perform janitorial duties, including sweeping, trash collection, and safe handling, collection, and disposal of hazardous materials (wood grain filler, wood finish, adhesives, etc.) following company, OSHA, and environmental regulations.Maintain clean and organized work areas to support safety and efficiency.Assist with facility upkeep projects, including painting, light carpentry, and general repairs.Assist with Events set up, tear down, and clean up. Assist with snow removal Monday through Friday as required to maintain safe facility conditions, including early morning or overtime hours as necessary.Follow all company safety procedures and participate in required training. Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.Prior maintenance, janitorial, or trade experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, walking, and climbing ladders.Ability to work in environments with noise, dust, chemicals, and moving machinery.Ability to safely handle hazardous materials with training and provided PPE.Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather on an occasional basis.Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance skills.Ability to follow directions and work safely.Willingness to learn proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and reliability.Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime. A condition of employment is that all candidates are required to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
