Description Are you passionate about tackling challenging problems and designing innovative solutions? Join our dynamic Mission Solutions team as a Solutions Architect at Leidos. In this impactful role, you will play a crucial part in shaping technical strategies that drive mission success across the Intelligence Community and its partners. As part of your responsibilities, you will collaborate with experienced solution architects, engineers, and key stakeholders to craft compelling solutions that leverage cutting-edge technologies, including AI/ML, cybersecurity, communications, digital modernization, cloud computing, and enterprise engineering. We are looking for a curious and proactive individual who enjoys exploring new fields. You should be adept at researching and understanding complex challenges, breaking them down into manageable components, and connecting disparate technologies to create comprehensive solutions. Most importantly, you should be driven to expand your influence from addressing individual technical issues to developing broader mission-oriented strategies. As a valued member of our CTO team, you will be a technical storyteller, effectively translating your deep technical insights into strategic narratives that inspire action. This position reports directly to the CTO for the Mission Solutions Business Area. Primary Responsibilities: Support Technical Solution Development: Design mission-aligned technical strategies that integrate both emerging and established technologies to solve customer challenges. Translate Requirements into Technical Concepts: Analyze mission needs, break down complex issues, and contribute to practical solution strategies. Contribute to Capture and Proposal Efforts: Assist in technical writing for business development efforts, including white papers and proposals under the guidance of senior architects. Research and Evaluate Emerging Technologies: Monitor and assess new capabilities like AI-driven analytics, cybersecurity frameworks, quantum computing, and their potential application in mission-focused solutions. Communicate Technical Concepts: Engage in technical discussions and presentations, articulating your solution approaches clearly to engineers, program teams, and leadership. Collaborate Across Domains: Partner with subject matter experts to develop cohesive, multi-disciplinary solutions. Primary Focus Areas: Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Cybersecurity Communications and Spectrum-Dependent Systems Systems and Enterprise Engineering Intelligence and Data Analytics Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 6+ years of experience. Technical experience in at least one relevant area such as AI/ML, Cybersecurity, Communications, Software Engineering, Cloud, or Data Analytics. Ability to autonomously research and grasp unfamiliar technical domains, and effectively translate findings into actionable solutions. Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly through various formats. Experience developing technical documentation, including design artifacts, architecture discussions, and proposal sections. Ability to collaborate across disciplines and rapidly adapt to new domains as necessary. U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance, with the ability to obtain a polygraph-level clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with the Intelligence Community landscape, particularly in areas involving space-based architectures and intelligence analysis. Hands-on experience in mission-critical domains such as wireless communications, cyber security, quantum tech, and cloud architectures. Understanding of emerging AI governance and secure development frameworks. Experience leading technical discussions or small teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret requirements and propose sound technical solutions.
