Surgery - Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner

Bon Secours St. Mary s Hospital of Richmond is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Neurovascular Care to provide coverage during a maternity leave. This is a hospital-based role with full travel support provided. Assignment Details Location: Bon Secours St. Mary s Hospital of Richmond (Neurovascular Unit) Dates of Coverage: December 2025 March 2026 Reason for Coverage: Maternity Leave Practice Setting: Hospital-based, adult & geriatric patients Neurosurgeons in Practice: 3 EMR: Epic Autonomy: No supervising physician always available (in person or by phone) Credentialing Timeline: 120 days Responsibilities Diagnose and treat illnesses Order and interpret diagnostic tests Write prescriptions Coordinate care across specialties Serve as first responder to all code stroke alerts within the facility Compensation & Travel Competitive pay Facility reimburses for flights, hotel, rental car, and mileage (IRS standard rate) Requirements Certifications: AANP (required), ACLS (required), ENLS (required), DEA, CDS certification Licensure: Active Virginia NP license (required) Experience: Neurovascular experience strongly preferred (no new grads)
