Over The Road Truck Driver

Interstate Semitruck Driver Responsible for transporting goods long distances and operating a commercial motor vehicle to move raw materials and finished goods in and out of OS facilities; as well as outside cold storage facilities. This is an interstate semitruck driver role that will require four to five consecutive days on-road each week. Essential job duties include but are not limited to: Drives semi-tractor based on the over-the-road schedule determined by internal and external customer requirements (requires layovers). Operates a semi-tractor promptly, safely and efficiently at all times. Dock to dock truckload shipments & less than truckload white glove delivery to retail stores Completes daily hours of service (HOS) via electronic logging device (ELD) as well as DOT-required pre-trip and post-trip inspections based on the FMCSA DOT requirements. Frequently checks the load for proper refrigeration and securement of product. Performs scale audits when loaded to ensure compliance with weight regulations. Documents bill of lading (BOLs), fuel tickets, and customer delivery tickets upon completion of delivery based on internal and external customer requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Must have Class A Commercial Drivers License. 2 years operating a commercial motor vehicle - DOT requirement. Excellent driving record for preceding 3 years. Good communications skills. Schedule requirements: Monday - Friday, or Saturday-Thursday (based on loads for the week). Special note: Military veterans and their spouses are encouraged to apply.
