Gastroenterology Physician

Locums - Plattsburgh, New York, Gastroenterology Opening Clinical Role: Coverage Dates: May 18, 2026 - December 31, 2026 Seeking one locum provider able to cover approximately 1 week per month Coverage to begin as soon as credentialing is complete Schedule: 7:30am-5:00pm Typical structure may include: Morning procedures (approximately 7:30am-12:00pm) Afternoon rounding and consults (approximately 1:00pm-5:00pm) Expected 7 days of coverage (Monday-Sunday) during assigned week Combination of scheduled procedures, inpatient consults, and call coverage Potential coverage model: Monday-Thursday: inpatient coverage and elective procedures Friday-Sunday: 24-hour call coverage Call responsibilities included Practice Setting: Mix of inpatient coverage and elective endoscopy procedures Approximately 40 procedures per week (elective plus urgent/emergent inpatient and ER cases) Patient load: 10-15 inpatient consults Trauma Level III facility EMR: Epic Support staff includes Nurse Practitioner support Minimal oversight of inpatient NP required Required Procedures: Endoscopy Colonoscopy Requirements: Fellowship in Gastroenterology - Required Board Certified or Board Eligible - Required BLS - Required ACLS - Required PALS - Required Candidates must have completed fellowship (experience alone will not substitute) Why Plattsburgh?
