What You'll Do Provide support to the NYC Staffing function by tracking casework assignments and billing arrangements for non-partner consulting staff: Assist with outreach to current case teams to confirm upcoming end dates for all consultants Respond to ad-hoc requests for information related to staffing opportunities, availability, staffing data/reports, consultant information and availability Request updated staffing bios from consulting staff and upload to individual BCG Navigator pages (intranet) Assist with searches for consulting staff with specific expertise for proposals and sold work Act as backup for People Team Specialist and Staffing team as needed to: Collect all required data from case leadership to open a new request for the local staffing system Send the base list options to case leadership after initial staffing request is made Manage the end-to-end process of short-term staffing in the time between formal assignments for consultants Develop working relationships with all members of the local office to facilitate the information flow to provide timely, transparent information Respond to special projects and other internal requests as needed Maintain and update all individual staffing assignments, availability and related data in the Staffing database: Assignment start / end dates Vacation time, scheduled trainings, and LOAs (working with HR) Notes on upcoming availability Updated performance highlights after the completion of every assignment Generate weekly consulting staff availability reports for the Talent Management and Staffing team; and maintain 'base list' availability to share with case team leaders and other offices Act as backup for People Team Specialist and Staffing team as needed to: Create project and resource request entries in online staffing system Gather staffing data, analyze and prepare reports on consultant deployment and investments as needed Coordinate with Managing Directors & Partners, local finance, and other North America offices to: Identify or open the appropriate codes for staffing assignments Ensure investment requests are transparent and have been approved by the relevant parties Track and appropriately distribute investment funding across offices as relevant Monitor case budget for ongoing projects Provide case codes, billing instructions and information to consulting staff and other North America staffers as needed Work with Talent Management and Finance team to review consultant billing and leakage report each week and request corrections as necessary Create Information Management (IM) teamsites for each new case Work with the IM team to ensure teamsites are opened and closed in a timely manner Facilitate the weekly NYC System pipeline calls Make all necessary adjustments to the internal and published pipeline Represent NYC on bi-monthly North America Regional Staffing calls Perform other duties and projects required What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree required 1-3 years of administrative support or human resources experience, preferably at a professional services firm Competencies: Highly organized, attentive to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Numeric proficiency and experience managing financial data Proficient computer skills: MS Office with a strong preference for substantial Excel and PowerPoint experience Who You'll Work With In this role, you will join our New York City Staffing team, which drives the team development of BCG's most important asset its people. Consulting teams are thoughtfully staffed to balance the needs of the individual, the firm, and our clients. The Staffing Assistant will support the Talent Directors in the initial and end stages of the staffing process, will ensure accurate data management, and will liaise with other key Business Services teams. This role will also develop meaningful connections with our consulting staff to facilitate a transparent and rapid flow of information. Compensation Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below. Base salary between $68,000- $80,000 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-12% 5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service.
