Position Overview We are seeking a professional, dependable Armed Security Officer to support security operations at a place of worship in Manhattan Beach. This role requires a calm, respectful presence while maintaining heightened situational awareness during services and community gatherings. The ideal candidate understands the balance between approachability and vigilance and is comfortable operating in a faith-based environment. Primary Responsibilities Maintain a visible armed security presence during services and scheduled events Monitor and control access points and entrances Conduct interior and exterior patrols as assigned Observe, identify, and report suspicious activity or safety concerns Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies Coordinate with site leadership and local law enforcement when required Complete accurate and timely incident reports Requirements Valid California Guard Card Valid California Firearms Permit (BSIS) Current exposed firearm qualification CPR / First Aid certification (preferred) Prior armed security experience (places of worship, schools, or community settings preferred) Strong communication, situational awareness, and de-escalation skills Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods What We Offer Consistent, predictable weekly schedule Competitive pay based on experience On-site parking Professional and respectful work environment Opportunity for additional shifts and advancement within the company
