About the Role: As a CBRE Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. Two Locations: New Orleans to Baton Rouge What You'll Do: Oversee maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems for the facility to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned. Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete the repair and maintain inventory of adequate supplies and tools. Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life; oversee repairs and emergency maintenance as needed. Review inspections of building and industrial systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client. Oversee compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety. Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities. Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement. Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams. Work within broad guidelines and policies. Explain difficult or sensitive information. Other duties as assigned. What You'll Need: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification and Valid Driver's license required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. What You'll Need: Qualifications & Core Skills Engineering Core (required): 7+ years of experience in BMS/HVAC controls (Tridium Niagara N4, Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens Desigo, KODE, or ICONICS). Software Proficiency (desired): Experience with SQL, Python, or API-based integrations (REST/GraphQL) for data movement between building systems and cloud platforms. Protocol Expertise (required): Mastery of BACnet/SC, Modbus, and MQTT for IoT device communication. Ability to translate complex technical data into executive-level KPIs (OKRs) for senior leadership. Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Network Expertise (required): Working knowledge of network architecture (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) and cybersecurity compliance in building systems. Hands-on experience working with IP-based devices and cloud-based platforms. Experience with integration of IoT sensors for energy, occupancy, air quality, etc. Familiarity with sensor calibration, connectivity (LoRaWAN, Zigbee, Bluetooth, etc.) Experience in working with 3 rd party MEP and Technology vendors. Knowledge of basic financial concepts (i.e. Budget, invoice, purchase order). The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions. Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science. CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The maximum salary for the Boiler Operator position is $83000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
