Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, where your expertise as a Clinical Staff Pharmacist will make a meaningful impact. This full-time night shift role involves collaborating with fellow pharmacists to compound and dispense medications and IV supplies with precision and care. Key Responsibilities Accurately enter and confirm medication orders using Meditech, ensuring no duplications or errors. Provide knowledgeable responses to pharmacy staff, nursing, and physicians by researching medication information and resolving discrepancies. Review physician orders for accuracy, clarify as needed, and document all communications. Perform thorough safety checks including barcode scanning and visual inspections during medication dispensing and restocking. Prepare compounded sterile products using aseptic techniques and maintain detailed chemotherapy documentation. Manage narcotic counts and controlled substance documentation with precision and timeliness. Participate actively in committees, assist in pharmacist hiring, and support pharmacy student precepting. Engage in continuous improvement of pharmaceutical care and complete all required clinical documentation and education. Education A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy is required. Experience One year of hospital pharmacy experience or internship is preferred. Licensure and Certification Must hold or be able to obtain a pharmacist license within 90 days in the relevant state. Active membership in pharmacy organizations is encouraged. Mental and Physical Requirements This role demands sustained mental concentration and physical activity including standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Working Conditions Expect a standard pharmacy environment with noise from printers, automation, and telephones, along with occasional high-pressure deadlines and sensitive situations.
