In this key role, you will deliver expert guidance to clients on U.S. federal income tax issues related to mergers and acquisitions, with a particular emphasis on Section 382 consultative projects. As the primary technical tax contact for clients, you will lead tax technical workstreams and spearhead innovations in Section 382 analysis methodologies. Your responsibilities will also include enhancing the firm’s deliverables related to Section 382, along with active involvement in marketing and business development initiatives in this vital area. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree (preferably in accounting, finance, economics, or statistics), and an advanced degree such as a JD, LLM, or Master's in tax is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of relevant tax experience is essential, with a robust understanding of Section 382, consolidated return regulations, and Section 1202. Required professional certifications include CPA, JD, EA, or equivalent. You will bring extensive experience in preparing and reviewing complex tax technical work. This position demands exceptional communication, analytical, and decision-making skills, along with the ability to inspire and mentor a team of tax professionals.
