Get to know us: About - Gesa Credit Union Role Summary: Under the direction of the VP of Home Loans the Production Manager will direct, manage, and coordinate the functions of the Home Loan origination team located in the region assigned. Directly manages the production, activities, performance, operations, and compliance of the Home Loan origination team. Candidates for this position should be proficient in their ability to read, understand and communicate deficiencies with legal entity formation documentation. Candidate must have above average working knowledge and understanding of title reports, appraisals and documentation that perfects the Credit Union's lien position. What You Will Be Doing: Contributes to the organizations mission statement and goals by providing the highest quality of service, treating each person professionally, with warmth, courtesy and respect, cross-selling additional services, and making a personal effort to make members feel they belong and are important to Gesa Credit Union Oversees the Internal Home Loan Officers (IHLO), as assigned production, including # of sales, cross sales (if applicable), pipeline management, efficiencies, and effectiveness Overall responsibility for the achievement of assigned Loan Officers meeting production goals This position requires strong organization skills, the ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure to meet multiple and occasionally short deadlines to facilitate the fulfillment of the loan by collaborating with the loan officer, credit analyst and loan processors Interview, train, evaluate, supervise, schedule, coach and develop regional staff as needed to provide responsive and professional service to our membership Provide recommendation to management of changes to products, loan policies and procedures by following lending laws and regulations Maintain thorough and current knowledge of the Conventional, Jumbo's, Construction, FHA, FNMA, HUD, VA and other investor requirements; recommend changes as necessary to the Credit Union policy manual Ensure IHLOs are actively engaged with their assigned branch teams by attending staff meetings, providing training on Home Loans, and consistently communicating with the team Distribute and manage leads to the IHLOs, which include but not limited to Internet, Credit Monitoring, Branch, and phone Monitor various assigned reports Assist IHLOs in developing and executing a business plan for their area that aligns with Gesa Credit Union's Strategic plan Conduct Annual Reviews and help set goals Recognize problems with both structuring and quality of loan files. Assist in training and problem solving to improve service offered by Gesa, address complaints and resolve problems Is familiar with all regulations governing credit union lending, with particular emphasis on rules and regulations governing real property lending on home loans and on home equity loans Have a thorough understanding of home loan computer system including home loan origination, underwriting, processing, and tracking programs, and Gesa's home loan website Keeps abreast of new developments in the field of loans and changing government regulations, ensuring that the staff is kept informed Work with marketing to create marketing materials, campaigns and signature for production staff Ensures the protection of the credit union's interests in matters of adequate documentation and adherence to credit union policy and various laws and regulations applicable to department operations Maintain thorough and current knowledge of the Conventional, Jumbo's, Construction, FHA, FNMA, HUD, VA and other investor requirements; recommend changes as necessary to the Credit Union policy manual Communicate effectively with Credit Union employees; ensure coordination and exchange of information to accomplish Credit Union goals. Display respect, trust and dignity, acting in the best interest of the credit union. Lead by example; display solid ethics and integrity at all times. Control risk and manage real estate lending in a safe and sound manner Recommends procedures and guidance to changes and revisions for the mortgage department Performs other functions that might be needed from time to time to assist others to complete tasks and work assignments Maintains an efficiently operating department of well trained and performing employees working interpedently as a team Ensure that HLOs meet or exceed monthly production goals and that each HLO meets or exceeds our standards for professionalism, courtesy, tact, efficiency and effectiveness About You: Supervises IHLOs and HLOs of the mortgage department. Is responsible for managing the sales, efficiency, effectiveness, training, and development of the sales force, including planning, needs assessments, performance reviews, rewarding and disciplining employees Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to IHLOs and HLOs to assist them in reaching goals, increasing competency, and creating teamwork within the department and the credit union Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, discipline up to termination, and training mortgage loan officers Leadership Core Competencies Leaders at Gesa Credit Union are lifelong learners who, by developing themselves, are better able to grow our team members and our organization as well as serve as influential role models for each other.
