The RN is a critical member of the unit which cares for a diverse patient population requiring highly specialized cardiac care. The services provided include various procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers. Patients undergoing open heart surgery who require post-operative care are also treated within the unit. The unit specializes in the care of patients with congestive heart failure and those undergoing electrophysiology studies. Research initiatives are supported through a department managing numerous national clinical trials. Recognitions and awards for excellence in patient care highlight the unit's commitment to optimal outcomes.
