Location Detail: 1244 Storrs Road Mansfield (10100) Shift Detail: Monday - Friday. This position will be based in Storrs for the first year and will transition to Plainfield thereafter. Job Description: As a Medical Oncology Registered Nurse at Hartford HealthCare, you will provide skilled nursing care to patients under the guidance of healthcare providers in various clinical settings. Your responsibilities will encompass assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care utilizing established nursing protocols and standards. You will report directly to a Practice Manager. Your key responsibilities will include: Delivering office-based nursing care in collaboration with healthcare providers. Assessing physical and psychosocial needs of patients and formulating nursing care plans, ensuring continuity of care. Demonstrating independent nursing actions based on thorough assessments. Triaging patient calls and initiating appropriate nursing interventions in a timely and professional manner. Providing compassionate support to patients and their families while maintaining confidentiality. Willingness to travel to other regional offices as needed. Qualifications: Current RN license in the state of Connecticut and valid CPR certification. Preferred three years of nursing experience in a medical practice setting.
