Maternal - Fetal Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Board-Certifiedor Board-Eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician for locum tenenscoverage in Midlothian, Virginia. This position supports a high-volume MFMpractice with a strong focus on high-risk pregnancies, providing both clinicand inpatient care. Schedule & CallCoverage Clinic Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:15 PM Weekday Call: Nightly call coverage Weekend Call: 24-hour call coverage Weekend Requirements: Yes On-Call Requirements: Weekdays and weekends Clinical Details Average Scheduled Patients per Day: 27 High-Risk Pregnancy Volume: 95% Low-Risk Pregnancy Volume: 5% Nursery Level: Level III EMR: Epic, Viewpoint Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care for high-risk obstetric patients in office and inpatient settings Perform consultations, diagnostic evaluations, and longitudinal management of complex maternal and fetal conditions Collaborate with OB/GYNs, neonatology, nursing, and interdisciplinary care teams Participate in call coverage for urgent and emergent MFM needs Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR Required Skills &Procedures Amniocentesis Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS) Cerclage (preferred) Management of high-risk conditions including: Pre-eclampsia and hypertension Multiple gestations Fetal growth restriction Chromosomal, congenital, and genetic abnormalities Pre-term labor Thrombophilia and genetic disorders Birth defects and complex maternal/fetal comorbidities Experience with vaginal and cesarean deliveries in high-risk settings Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine Completion of an accredited MFM fellowship Active Virginia medical license BLS certification AIUM certification Midlothian offers asuburban lifestyle just outside Richmond with excellent schools, modernamenities, and convenient access to top-tier healthcare facilities.
