Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner

Locum-to-Perm Opportunity - Lafayette, Louisiana - NP Hematology/Oncology Compact License Accepted A high-volume Hematology/Oncology practice in Lafayette, Louisiana is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a locum-to-permanent opportunity. This position will not convert to locums-only and is ideal for a provider comfortable managing complex oncology patients in an outpatient clinic setting. Assignment Overview Start: ASAP - Ongoing Position Type: Locum-to-Perm only Facility will accept multiple providers Schedule Typical clinic hours: 8:00am-4:30/5:00pm Fridays typically end by 3:30pm Saturday call rotation: Approximately once every 3 months Hours: 8:00am-12:00pm Practice Setting Outpatient clinic with infusion services Infusion suite: Primary location: 74 infusion chairs Secondary location: 12 infusion chairs No inpatient rounding Patient & Practice Details High-volume practice with complex patient population Nurse Practitioners manage a full panel of patients Significant care coordination required Average patient volume: Approximately 10 patients per day Visit types include treatment visits, follow-ups, and some new patient appointments Majority of patients have multiple co-morbidities Team Structure 1 full-time physician 1 part-time physician Fully staffed model includes 2 NPs Requirements Board Certified - Required 3-5 years of Hematology/Oncology experience - Required Active Louisiana license or Compact license - Accepted BLS - Required Chemotherapy certification for NPs - Required Facility Information EMR: Epic Do you know someone that might be a good fit for this position?
